This month we are looking at fairy wings. I just finished my pair that I did by coloring on fabric with crayons (something we did in a past meeting) and I enjoyed trying out this new process. Also make sure to double check your time with us as here in the USA as we just "Sprang Forward" an hour for Daylight Savings Time. I am hearing through the buzzing of the bees that the rest of the world will change later in the month. So, come play with us and if you haven't joined in before, simply instant messenger me in Facebook or send me an email at [email protected] in order to get the Zoom link to join us. We meet monthly on a Tuesday with March's meeting being on March 12th at 1:30 pm MST and you invited to join us!

So pull up that chair and your favorite brew and join us while Alena and I talk about her creations and how thinking outside the box is a wonderful challenge - never knowing where it might take one.
For those are the various flavors she brings to her dollmaking. From the Children around the World, to her fairies of her childhood, to the shell people she is currently exploring, there is never a dull moment at Sandee's part of the world. Why not join me as I discover this delightful lady and what inspires her to create?
Also a lovely tribute to Deb Wood shows how important IADR is to up and coming artists or even those that want to be challenged through our juried shows. Just like the vagabonds that travel in their caravan creating their family unit, so can the many members in IADR be a part of that artistic family of support and encouragement for each other. To learn the impact of creating an art doll for someone thereby creating a very healing process for them, is a story that truly touches the heart. Pull up your chair, grab your favorite brew... don't forget the tissue and join myself and Jerry as we talk about a favorite pastime of ours... dolls.
We are all so unique and different but the one thing we have in common is our love of dolls. This flight takes me to my own country of the USA with a stop in Alabama to visit Bambi Lynn. I haven't traveled there yet physically but I was able to enjoy learning more about it through Bambi's eyes. It is certainly now on my wish list of places to go.
Bambi is so great about creating magical portals because I know the time we spent talking just magically flew by. Now I feel I made another new friend through my doll making adventures.
I am having a blast traveling around the world visiting with our IADR (International Art Doll Registry) members. I have been to England, Italy, and now to the far reaches of Australia.
So bring your favorite drink and join us. Mine will be tea (*smiling) as Amanda and I talk about our favorite thing... Dollmaking.
The time is planned for 12:30 pm MST. For those in the USA, it will move forward as planned. For those in Italy or Australia (for example) you might need to confirm the time difference as we will be actually a hour earlier for you (or not...). Hope this blurp gets past the pixies so that we can all get together - and don't forget to check our chat line for the link post. See you there. Also I'm glad this crazy time zone change happened after my Conversation with the Dollmaker for the month of March as I enjoyed my lovely time with Amanda Parkinson. I am in the process of updating and editing that video and it will be out shortly. Keep your eyes open as Amanda and I share our love of dollmaking through her art.
