Setting out on an adventure to follow a dream in my beautiful caravan is the type of experience I enjoyed when visiting with Jerry Knegtel.
I may have traveled (via Zoom) to the exciting place of Belgium, but that was only a small part of the journey.
She weaved a story full of fairies that made me feel I had entered her magical land. They surround her but Jerry was more than willing to share how they come alive through her and become a part of our world seen through her eyes.
Also a lovely tribute to Deb Wood shows how important IADR is to up and coming artists or even those that want to be challenged through our juried shows. Just like the vagabonds that travel in their caravan creating their family unit, so can the many members in IADR be a part of that artistic family of support and encouragement for each other.
To learn the impact of creating an art doll for someone thereby creating a very healing process for them, is a story that truly touches the heart. Pull up your chair, grab your favorite brew... don't forget the tissue and join myself and Jerry as we talk about a favorite pastime of ours... dolls.
