What's New???

What's new???  Our first gathering of dollmakers across the globe from Australia to Italy to Montana and even Alaska.  That is quite a reach!
One of the main thoughts that we all agree on is that dollmakers coming together creates a space where inspiration grows and the energy opens the door to possibilities. We enjoyed talking about our various mediums and what we would like to see in the group.
All of us all have something to share from the fountain of knowledge we have collected over our time of dollmaking.
This became evident when I could bring up the hair gel Dippity-do that I used to glue my spit curls in place with (yep - that was popular in the 60's) and someone else had also experienced this product growing up. *lol*

But could it work for dolls?  One dollmaker had brought up a product that was a wig pomade she might check out to solve her problem with working with fine llama hair for her wig.  Which is what started the conversation in the first place.

I had never heard of anything like this for doll wigs.  Something we will be checking into more.  This is just some of the fun and inspiring chat we were having.
Because of our reach across the globe, our time for the gathering is pretty much set which is 12:30 pm (MST)... Yep, just after my lunch *smiling*.  Though which days might be negotiable as we certainly would like to set up a time during the week when most could attend our gathering.  (The word "meeting" sounds so formal - which we certainly aren't *smiling*.)  So mark your Calendar as we will be meeting only once a month and our next gathering will be March 15th (a Wednesday).  Hope to see you at this fun zoom gathering of dollmakers.
