Congratulations to the winners of the People's Choice event and a big thank you to everyone that participated. This event brings a lot of activity to our website. It is a fabulous marketing opportunity for as I often say, you can't sell if you aren't seen.
We had over 600 votes casted for this event with a 262% of increase in page views to our website and 1206 unique views. That is a wonderful job.
A Big Congratulations to Nade Jankovska who is our first place winner. Angela Rinaldi is our second place winner and Anna Esposito is our third place winner. A big Thank YOU to all that participated and voted to make this another successful event.
Click this link to see all the participants and to download your Fall IADR Art Doll Magazine. This is free for IADR Members only - though the magazine is easy to purchase in English or Italian for anyone that wishes to download a digital copy.
As we finish one issue of the IADR Art Doll magazine, we begin another. We will be starting the Special Edition of the IADR magazine to let people know about (and be planning for) the IADR Art Doll Convention in Florence, Italy for 2026.
Anyone can submit articles or tutorials for it, but we would especially like those that are planning a workshop for the 2026 Convention to please let me know so that we can start that information for scheduling. You can contact me at iadregistry@outlook.com.
Welcome to our new Member - Linda Rous. She lives in Oklahoma and works with wood as her doll making medium. Her characters are from Native American folklore and history. She does amazing work and we will be looking forward to her sharing her "My People" with us.

Nothing is better than making new friends and that certainly happened here at the IADR Art Doll Convention in Florence, Italy.
Though some met friends that they already knew from past events or our zoom meetings, they were more than willing to take some of us who are new to Italy under their wings and make us feel like we were family.
With that, lets welcome our new members, Giusy Di Rocco from Italy, Kateryna Kadatska from Ukraine, and Mark Dennis from the USA to our IADR Art Doll family.

From the exhibit of the artist's creations to the juried show, it was exciting to see the variety of mediums as well as style of dolls. Overall, the event seems to have met with everyone's expectations which was great to hear. But now is the time to be thinking of if we will do another one?
Whether you attended the convention or not, we want your responses in helping to know if you would support and participate in another IADR convention next year. Please take a moment to answer the poll by June 1st, 2025!

The fun begins at The Hotel Albani Firenze in Florence, Italy (which also a four star hotel)! It is here that the IADR Event will be hosted. I know we have been very happy with the customer service they have provided via long distance and through emails or phone calls (even with an 8 hour time difference) in order to have everything prepped to welcome our attendees to our first IADR Convention.
The royal treatment can begin with a helpful valet opening the door for you and seeing if you need any assistance.

Upon entering the door the warm welcome continues as we check in with the historical decor added to the 20th century technology. Not all of us will be staying here as others have made other arrangements, but just the opportunity of the dollmakers community coming together is almost like having Christmas arriving early. The anticipation of seeing who will arrive and the new friends that will be made is exciting indeed.
The actual Convention will be held in their conference rooms which is across from the hotel entrance. Lots of spaces for the Sales Exhibit room as well as spaces for the Workshops. Keep in mind that you are still able to sign up for the workshops on our opening day. So, check the schedule to know when they are happening and see what fantastic learning opportunities are available.
You will find us by seeing our newly made banner guiding you to the registration area where we will be delighted to see you.

The IADR (International-Art-Doll-Registry) is a fabulous collection of dollmakers and artists. But we are more than that... we are also a community. A community that helps support the education in dollmaking and the opportunity for sales of our art.
In that way the IADR is there...
We are there with the IADR website and the opportunity to have your own gallery space through the Artist's Studio page. Through your Artist's Studio page you have the ability to tell a potential customer about your dolls as well as display many different views of your dolls to help the customer understand better the process you used to create that work of art.
The IADR is also there to help promote your work through the IADR Art Doll magazine. As a member you can share ideas, articles, and tutorials to other artists. You can also have your work featured in a 'Do What You Love' page or part of the Facebook collage. All that advertising is free to IADR members as part of the perk of being a member as well as receiving the magazine at no additional cost.
The IADR is there in the social media platforms. The IADR in Facebook will like and comment on other member's post, especially if you tag me in them. That is especially true for Instagram as the new algorithm is now focusing more on the "Share" aspect. I do need to be tagged if you want me to share your reels which again that is the new focus Instagram is also pushing. Have you figured out how to add a click-able link to your reels? If you haven't and would like to know how, then email me at iadregistry@outlook.com and I'll try to help you through that process. All those little steps are what helps make a potential sale.
Also the IADR is looking to grow through getting established in new areas like in the Bluesky social media. I do believe that will be the future direction social media will be heading and we have built an IADR custom feed for your use.
We are also growing with our first IADR Art Doll convention in May, 2025. There is still time to sign up to register for the event if you like to take in the whole experience. Otherwise, check out the workshops which are a great educational event - or - would you like an opportunity to sell your work at the open to the public Sales Event? If you have any question regarding any of those areas then contact Adelaide Santini, the Italian representative for the convention or email me at iadregistry@outlook.com.

Congratulations to Cecilia Alfarano for winning the Peoples' Choice Event. Her entry also captured the joy we have in introducing our first ever IADR (International Art Doll Registry) Convention for 2025.
First of all - this edition will be FREE! So please share the magazine and get the word out about our upcoming convention.
This special edition includes a complete guide to the convention jury show requirements as well as sales table information and a tentative itinerary of workshops.
We also created it to be a helpful guide for those planning to travel to Italy to attend the event and what might you need to do before traveling. Like the first thing is making sure your passport (or travel permit) is up-to-date.
There is even a peek into the beauty of Florence and the art it has to offer. Florence truly is a light of inspiration for any artist - no matter at what level of art skill.

The registration for the convention is now live and available to access on the IADR website. If you have any questions, you can either refer to the magazine as we tried to explain the many options there or, as always, email Lesley at iadregistry@outlook.com.
Learn about the "Catch of the Day" in the magazine and how one might actually catch it for their own. Early Bird Registrations do get the best options when they register for the convention as they will each receive three tickets for the drawing of the "Catch of the Day". See what a registration offers (such as access to discounted rooms during the Convention in the hotel hosting it) as well as other benefits.
We also offer the magazine in Italian as well!
So, click the link and download your FREE copy now and don't forget to tell others who may wish to attend the
