Follow Me...

The Fairy Wedding and their Guests Jury Show is wrapping up this week.  Time to be thinking about your Artist's Studio page on the IADR website.  Why, you might ask?  

Because it is going to be part of the People's Choice set up and an opportunity to strut your stuff.  Your Artist's Studio page is a way for people to come and see your gallery of work that you have posted on your artist page (which is available free to you as an IADR member).

Plus, I have an additional perk we have just figured out for your page too.  But let's start at the beginning of your check list - okay?

First of all, have you sent me a picture of yourself or a doll you want to represent your work yet?  I need this so I can create your Artist's Studio page?  Also your Artist's Studio page doesn't only have to be only completed dolls, it can also reflect work in progress images as well.  Anything that you want a potential customer to view to help them better understand the process you go through for creating your character or as another outlet to find a potential customer.

Now, to begin adding to your Artist's Studio page, you use the Artist Submission form which is at this link ​https://www.international-art-doll-registry.com/artists-studio-submissions.html ​

​This is not to be confused with the Registry form used to when you register your doll with the IADR!  The Artist Submission form is only for the Artist's Studio submission photos where you can describe how your doll is made, what inspired you to make it or what materials you used, if you are selling it, or if the person looking at your page on the IADR website would like to contact you or visit your shop.  This is only limited by how much or how little information you want to share about your creation.

So what's the new perk? (As one has to remember this is a whole new website and we are still learning about how we best can help you get the information out about your dolls.)  What it is - you now have another choice in you Artist's Studio!!!

With every submission you can list all the places you can be found... meaning with each doll if you submit all your links then I will list them.  Otherwise you can do what I just did.  I created a Follow Me image. When you go to my Artist's Studio page this image will be among my dolls.

Why might you want a Follow Me image?  Because if you list all of your links with each of your dolls, a person might get lost going down the rabbit hole of looking at them and a sale might get lost as well.  That is one reason why it was previously one link per doll and also because I didn't realize (at the time) I could do multiple links.

So now that I do know... how to make the most of it?  With a Follow Me image you can list all of your links in one spot!

When anyone comes to my Artist's Studio page and sees him, with a simple click they now can find me in my other social platforms as well and with another click of the mouse, be on my other pages.

To create this option to your Artist's Studio page - use the Artist's Submission form.  You can use any image you want for this and send all your links you want listed.  I created my image in Canva.  If anyone wants help creating an image for their Artist's Studio page, please let me know at IADRegistry@outlook.com.
