We meet only once a month so mark your calendar for the next one coming up will be on April 25th. We are still working on the best day of the week to meet since this is a new opportunity for IADR members but the time is pretty set. After all, we are reaching around the world in different time zones just to hang out together. *smiling* For the month of April I am going to be sharing how a 2-Dimensional (2D) artist expanded my "eye" to becoming a 3-Dimensional (3D) artist and ended up becoming a painter in clay. What is a 2D artist? Two-dimensional art refers to any form of visual art that exists in two dimensions. Meaning you can only see two sides in viewing it such as drawings, paintings, prints, and photographs. 3D art is defined as art with all the dimensions of height, width, and depth. Unlike 2D art, it occupies greater physical space and can be viewed and interpreted from all sides and angles such as sculptures. It does take skill, a passion to learn, and a desire to create to go from 2D to 3D as it changes one's perspectives.
