Had to chuckle at the Someday is not a Day quote as that is so true - which is why Deadlines were created.
So, lets go over a few more in calendar style:
July 31st - Articles and Tutorials for the ART DOLL Magazine
Keep in mind that this is a deadline, but if you can get your articles and tutorials to me sooner, that would be appreciated. Since I always want to give you plenty of time to review your write-up after it has been set for the magazine, it is nice to have plenty of time to do so.
July 31st - The ART DOLLS MAGAZINE Special Offers
We are working on the Directory for the Magazine and ART DOLLS Magazine website. There are two special offers running right now until the end of July.
The Directory itself is a great place on the ART DOLL Magazine website to easily find artist, suppliers, organizations, and events. There will also be a special issue of the Directory digitally published too. One of the Specials is the Double Dip.
The Double Dip is two quarter page AD spot purchases and receive the Directory PLUS listing for free! That is an $85 USD savings for a year placement. And just because I like to play... Have you thought about a .gif AD (something on your ad moves)?
I have been playing with some of the other smaller .gif's throughout the magazine. This is always a great way to catch your attention when you see something move, especially when you aren't expecting it.
For the Double Dip only, if you would like to do an ad for your website or even where you would like to place two or three dolls in a .gif as an AD, let me know. Email artdollsmagazine@outlook.com for more information and maybe try a .gif.
August 14th - Deadline for submission for the Marine Character Juried Show
Can Fisherman also qualify for the Marine Character show? Yes, anyone fishing for thoses marine characters can qualify for the show.
Even Fantasy animal Anthropomorphic dolls (animals acting as humans with human characteristics such as rabbits, squirrels, bears, etc.). Anthropomorphic dolls would be dolls that are upright, presumed to be talking, dressed as humans, or acting as if human can also qualify as long as they follow within these guidelines.

Summer has officially turned now to where each day will become shorter. I don't know about you, but so far, it has been hard for me to find my MOJO (motivation) this summer, let alone getting through an another winter coming up.
Bambi & I talk in this podcast what one can do to find your motivation and thereby inspire creativity. Join us on our YouTube Channel and see if some of our suggestions might be of help to you if you are also suffering from lack of MOJO.
We are also currently working on the 2027 ART DOLLS Magazine Directory. This Directory is created for all those who wished to be listed not only on the ART DOLLS Magazine website in the Directory, but also in the Special Edition issue that will be coming out at the end of the year.
Right now the ART DOLLS Magazine is running TWO special pricing options to where you can receive a free listing in the Directory by just purchasing advertisting in the magazine.
By being listed in the Directory is another avenue of being seen on another website through the ART DOLLS Magazine in an easy to find format starting as soon as you sign up as well as being showcased for all of 2027 and at the end of the year in the 2026 Special Issue.
Give a warm Welcome and Say Hello to our newest IADR member Adrienne Franklin who is a Fiber Artist here in the United States.
She creates wonderful personalities in a contemporary style that are a delight to see.
I was asked if Mermaids came under Marine Characters for the upcoming juried show. Yes, they do. Also so does Poseidon, god of the Seas. Another idea can also be Libra, the water bearer zodiac sign. Anything in the water or touches water qualifies for this juried show. Good luck and can't wait to see how the creativity flows!

This is a learning opportunity to have your artwork critiqued if you are entering as a Novice. This event is also an inspirational opportunity for Masters to motivate and encourage us through their artistry. A win/win situation to participate in.

Summer's Here—Shine on YouTube! Yes, our May juried show event is now on our IADR YouTube channel. Also thank you goes out to Anna Esposito for sharing some of her interviews with the IADR. They are also up on our channel. Plus I also added some "clips" from the Winter Blue juried show... resulting in over 6000 views this week!
Did you know there are a couple of ways to work with the IADR and our YouTube channel?
Did you know there are a couple of ways to work with the IADR and our YouTube channel?
One way is to enter the IADR juried doll shows. All online enteries are included in the video created for the juried show. The clip I created of Andy Tatler's entry from the Winter Blue event for this week just received 555 views. Thanks Andy for sharing Quintessa with us.
The second way is to collaborate with the IADR YouTube channel. If you are creating a video that you would like to share with the IADR, then get the collaboration link and share it by emailing it to the iadregistry@outlook.com. You can double your reach by putting it on your YouTube Channel and now the IADR one as well. This is just one way to shine this summer.
Talking of Juried Shows, the Marine Character event is now open. Deadline August 14th, 2026.
Sweet Deals
These are two sweet deals that the ART DOLLS Magazine is offering this summer. Great way to receive a free listing in the Directory of the ART DOLLS Magazine just by buying ad space. The Directory is located on the website which makes looking for a doll maker or supplier, the easiest way to find them. Plus at the end of the year, we will be creating one special magazine issue focused on the Directory. For more information, email artdollsmagazine@outlook.com.
Shylock Doll Gathering is meeting Tuesday, June 16th at 12:30 pm MST via Zoom. Contact Lesley if you like an invite to this informal meeting of doll lovers.
