Historically, these magnificent ceremonial chilkat robes were woven from tree fiber. Today, they are usually a combination of tree fiber and mountain goat wool. The hats were carved of wood and adorned with fur, shells, bones and/or teeth. Colors and design were researched in museum records. Signed & numbered, comes with certificate and story.
My People: are carved by hand with only a small knife, so they may receive their spirit as each one emerges from the wood.
