Xochiquetzal is primarily constructed of aluminum wire and softer fills. Her facial features are embroidered on her cotton skin. Hair is also embroidered, and is created from Merino Wool. Her outfit is an original design, created of cotton. She is 35" H, 16"D. and 26"W.

Xochiquetzal is an Aztec goddess. Like all Aztec gods, she does have her negatives. But, her devotees include temple priestesses, dancers, and weavers. She is married, though not faithfully, and oversees childbirth. She is associated with marigolds and the beautiful quetzal birds, earning her the name, "feather flower.
