I wanted to create a piece that appears to be lost in thought, their mind a jumble of conflicting emotions and ideas. I textured the sculpture to create a disorienting feel. I wanted the piece to appear very disjointed like her thoughts were unorganized. This sculpture is a nod to the fact that many artists feel art block. Art block feels like a mess that's hard to clean up. I find it best to clean the studio, relax, and keep creating art. Eventually, that jumbled mind will sort itself out
